I'm Abigail Smeaden. And for this project I will be focusing on something that means a lot to me. I will be speaking about the harms of social media and how it affects our mental health. Since I started "growing up" I have always suffered with mental health, which led to a diagnosis in my older teenage years including;  borderline personality disorder and depression, my mental health puts a lot of weight on my shoulders and its often hard to do normal activities. Growing up from a young age with this mindset; I understand how deeply and melancholy it can feel. Because this pain has ruined almost every aspect of my life; I will use this to my advantage and turn my pain into power. I'm doing this because I know there is something worth fighting for, and if I stop now, all that damage wont be useful, it'll just be damage. So with my podcasts and website; I truly hope I can help others along this journey and save others lives because no one deserves that emotional pain. Therefore I really will work to achieve that goal, get into Bournemouth university, get that merit or distinction and I will shape the world around us that we live in. So please join me on this journey to help others lives and give others that hope they have lost; I found  my  hope in journalism, lets help others find their hope in something truly amazing.
